Homemade Rice-a-Roni |
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons butter
2/3 cup long-grain rice
1/3 cup orzo pasta
1 Tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups chicken stock
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan, combine butter, rice, and pasta. Saute over medium heat until pasta is golden brown, stirring frequently.
2. Stir in onion powder, garlic powder and chicken stock; bring to a boil.
3. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer 17 to 22 minutes or until rice is tender.
Makes 4 servings (3/4 cup each)
